OUR TRACK RECORD
We have partnerships stretching over a decade with some of the most renowned research centres on the planet. It’s about communicating complexity with impact and clarity, without ever feeling the need to simplify or dumb down.
Many of the UK’s most respected charities and campaigning organisations continue to put their trust in us. It’s about audience-centred storytelling with a voice and message which cut through a cluttered media landscape.
And for leaders, there’s no powerpoint. No handouts. It’s about intense, personalised 1-1 coaching with a laser-sharp focus on specific outcomes. It’s about connection and trust, with not a minute wasted.
Online, on your premises, or in studios, Inside Edge ran 148 coaching sessions in 2025. Every single one was different and tailored to the specific needs of the organisation.
2025/2026 FEEDBACK
I can honestly say that this was the best on-the-job training I’ve had in 20 years. The advice and the TV/radio practice interviews were certainly invaluable, but it really stood out because of the way in which the trainer ran the session. He responded in such a smart, agile way to each individual participant, even though we had quite different projects. He had exactly the right balance between offering specific feedback and helping us to get over more generalised anxiety about media communication. A potentially stressful event was fun, reassuring, enlightening, and totally confidence-boosting.
King’s College London attendee, 11th OctoberConcise, well paced session that demystified the process from the off. The structure was simple and helpful, covering everything we would need to prepare and appear in a successful broadcast interview. Chris is a fantastic media trainer; he put us at ease and was whip smart and dexterous when a range of topics were thrown at him. I left the session with a clear sense of my strengths, current weaknesses and how to improve – the recordings we made were extremely useful in assessing where I am at present. This was a very valuable course to take.
St Mary's University attendee, St Mary's University attendee, 19th FebChris’ training was brilliant. It was the perfect balance between teaching and practice, with real nuggets of wisdom and useful tips to retain ahead of any media interviews. I could feel myself growing more confident throughout the session, and had more of a concrete understanding of what was needed to give a calm, focused interview on my research. The practice interviews were incredibly useful, and it felt like a safe environment to just give things a go.
Goldsmith's attendee, 5th FebruaryReally appreciated the real life examples, the ‘keeping it simple’ approach and a focus on bringing out our knowledge and abilities in a way that was helpful to think about the audience and the journalist needs. The way Chris was able to work with our team created a positive learning experience.
Royal College of Nursing attendee, 17th July This was a really generative session, focused and supportive, inclusive and helpfully critical, informative and creative. Chris Jameson was an excellent mentor, setting the scene with great clarity and working through a sequence of exercises that drew on his considerable experience in ways that brought the best out of us. I very much enjoyed the peer group approach, the practical delivery of recordings deploying both visual and radio formats, and the feedback and follow up which was generous and incisive.
King's College London attendee, 13th MarchOutstandingly good and a real bench mark for me on what a training course should be. I’ve immediately utilised some of the lessons learned.
STFC attendee, 12th NovemberThe two training sessions that I have attended were outstanding and- critically – very useful. I have attended many coaching of all kinds, and often they felt a total loss of my time. Your media training was enjoyable, pragmatic and motivational.
University of St Andrews attendee, 20th MarchStrong coaching-based approach to the delivery meant I felt supported and encouraged whilst being given concrete examples on how to improve. The trainer modelled good delivery skills and excellent communication methods throughout. The pace of the course was good and it felt purposeful but never rushed.
CELCIS, University of Strathclyde attendee, 21st JanuaryChris has an incredibly calm and relaxing presence, the training was really useful with practical tips about how to prepare a top line which all of our spokespeople could take away. The scenarios were tailored to our organisation and Chris both encouraged and challenged all of our spokespeople. Everyone finished feeling more confident and really enjoyed the day.
RNID attendee, 13th NovemberBrilliant trainer – made everyone feel really comfortable and allowed people to decide on the style and focus of interviews, while also pushing so that people improved. Everyone has been so positive about what they’ve learnt and far more confident in being a spokesperson for our organisation.
Institute for Alcohol Studies attendee, 28th NovemberInside Edge provide a well-structured and clear training programme that puts candidates at ease while still not losing the importance of the training. The coaching is both interactive and personal, achieving a good balance of engagement with the attendees. I highly recommend all senior managers to undertake this training programme. It leaves you feeling like you have genuinely improved your skills and confidence.
University of Portsmouth attendee, 4th OctoberThis training session was excellent and I gained a wealth of valuable knowledge from it. It struck a perfect balance between theory and practical application. The session provided relevant information before immersing us in a beneficial hands-on experience, involving conducting an interview, recording it, receiving constructive feedback from both the trainer and peers. One of the most worthwhile training sessions I have attended, and I learned a great deal. Thank you.
Queen’s University Belfast attendee, 14th September This was a really generative session, focused and supportive, inclusive and helpfully critical, informative and creative.
